Ryan Murphy is back with Feud Season 2, Feud: Capote vs. The Swans that is about to take over our screens! Ever wondered what happened to the iconic Feud: Bette and Joan series? Well, 7 years later, we got Feud season 2 with a new Hollywood feud to munch on.
The thrilling season has an equally starry cast to rival Capote’s friend group such as Naomi Watts, Diane Lane, Chloe Sevigny, Calista Flockhart, Demi Moore and Molly Ringwald with Tom Hollander playing Truman Capote.
This 8-episode series has been quite the rollercoaster ride and given its intriguing premise, it is too good to be a one-hit wonder. Well, while watching the show, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is Feud: Capote vs. The Swans about?
Feud: Capote vs. The Swans focuses on another iconic beef that took place between the socialites of New York. It begins with celebrity writer Truman Capote targetting his high-ranking friends by revealing all their drama in his latest novel, Answered Prayers.
Of course, this doesn’t go well with his former friends and they all decide to get together to take him down. The targets include heiresses, actresses, rich socialites and influential figures like Babe Paley, Slim Keith, CZ Guest, Lee Radziwill, Ann Woodward and even Joanne Carson.

Has Feud: Capote vs. The Swans been renewed for season 2?
Disclaimer: Feud Season 1 was Feud: Bette and Joan which was released in 2017. Feud: Capote vs. The Swans is season 2, and what you are probably looking for is season 3 of this anthology series.
At the time of writing, FX has not renewed Feud: Capote vs. The Swans for season 3.
Despite being a critical hit, it will take a while before we get a renewal update. Generally FX, like other cable networks and streaming platforms, gauges numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.
With some FX shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made. However, since Feud has an anthology format, there is hope of it continuing for a long time just like Ryan Murphy’s other anthology series like American Horror Story and American Crime Story.
What we know about season 3 so far:
Barely anything is known about Feud season 3 at this point, given FX has not green-lit a new season. In fact, season 2 was set to be on Charles and Diana with Matthew Goode and Rosamund Pike in the lead roles. While it has been scrapped, we wouldn’t mind if it was reworked for season 3. With Feud being an anthology show with different stories for different seasons, the next season has the freedom to look at any other celebrity beef in the upper echelons of high society.
But this is all speculation as nothing has been confirmed yet. We will update this page when more information becomes available.
