Renewed Or Cancelled?
Echo is the latest Marvel series on Disney, operating under the new “Spotlight” Moniker. This aims to shed light on street level, gritty threats akin to Daredevil. After finishing all 5 episodes, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is Echo Season 1 about?
Echo is a spin-off from Hawkeye, following Maya Lopez (Echo) as she’s forced to confront her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family. However, she has to do so whilst facing Kingpin and his goons, plus a 4 minute cameo with Daredevil too.

Has Echo been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, Echo has not been renewed for a second season. However, that could change depending on the numbers this show does and how badly Marvel want to push their “All New, All Different” line-up for the Avengers.
Generally Disney and other streamers gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months before Disney make a decision over a show’s future.
So far, Echo has had a pretty mixed reaction, from both critics and audiences alike. Given the scaled back level of Marvel projects lately, and the desire to try and rake back in fans that have been disillusioned by Phase 4’s scattered approach, it’ll be interesting to see what happens with this one.
Given the ending, and Disney’s slew of projects on the horizon, we predict that Echo will not be renewed for a second season.

What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Disney have not green-lit a sequel. Should this one get the nod, we can expect to see Kingpin decide to pick up the mantle and run with being a Mayor of New York, while also seeing more of Maya’s heritage and becoming in-tune with her powers too.
But as mentioned above, we predict that this will not be renewed. However, we’ll be sure to update this page in the future when more information is known though!
