1670 is the latest anachronistic comedy on Netflix, with plenty of drama, intriguing characters and a big family feud!
So, after watching season 1 in its entirety, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is 1670 season 1 about?
The story is set in 1670 where we follow fourth-wall breaking Jan Adamczewski, who’s joined by his eccentric family as they eke out a living in a small village. Living as a nobleman, Jan’s job is made all the more difficult by arch-nemesis Andrzej. The two butt heads constantly across the season, before a very important twist sees the pair join for the finale in dramatic fashion.
Along the way, we also learn more about Jan’s family members too. There’s outspoken activist Aniela who campaigns for climate change, equality and everything in between. She also finds herself in the middle of her family feud. You see, Jan and his wife Zofia don’t exactly see eye to eye. On anything.
Finally, rounding out the family is Jakub, who feuds with his sister and, in one such episode, sets out to sabotage his sister to get all the inheritance plot for himself. Each episode essentially serves as a bottle plot, while also progressing the family feud and the issue between Andrjez and Jan.

Has 1670 been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, 1670 has not been renewed for season 2.
Generally Netflix would gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.
With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show’s future is made.
So far, 1670 has had a pretty mixed reaction from critics and audiences alike, with some enjoying this but others commenting on the simplicity of the humour.
Given the way this show is set up, we’re predicting that this will not be renewed for a second season. The series does have plenty of potential but it all rests on that drop-off rate.

What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point as Netflix haven’t officially renewed this one. Should it be renewed, we’d imagine that the story will pick up where it left off, with Jan and the rest of the family continuing their shenanigans of trying to make it through 1670 in one piece!
