In a list of the greatest video games of all time, you will not find mention of Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties.
You’re more likely to find it on a list of the worst games ever made as this FMV visual novel/dating sim was met with a lot of critical backlash when it was originally released for MS-DOS and the 3DO back in the early 90s.
PC Gamer summed up critical opinion when they called it a “shallow, hateful waste of a game, [that] may very well be responsible for having killed the 3DO.”
Of course, some people are nostalgic for bad video games, which is probably why developer Limited Run Games has brought it back for this ‘Definitive Edition.’ The remake consists of a 4K remaster and the addition of trophies and achievements.
There are 22 trophies to collect in Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties – 1 Platinum, 7 Gold, 10 Silver, and 4 Bronze.
With the exception of the Platinum Trophy, these are the equivalent of the achievements found on PC and Xbox.

We don’t think the trophy list is hard at all. As far as we can tell, you only need to play through the game’s story to unlock the trophies, so you should have little trouble getting the platinum for Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties.
