Palworld Guide: How To Level Up Quickly

Palworld Guide: How To Find & Hatch Eggs

Palworld is the latest open world craze that’s taking the PC world by storm right now. And the alpha has finally dropped! With fantastic art direction, some great mechanics and a moreish gameplay style, there’s plenty to see and do with this one.

As with any RPG, the aim here is to level up and in doing so, you’ll gain a myriad of neat rewards that can help you along the way. Alongside levelling up your base, your character can also be levelled, and this brings with it some neat stat updates, which we’ll cover below.

How Do You Level Up In Palworld?

Levelling up your character in Palworld is quite straightforward. You can level up by: Capturing Pals, defeating Pals, defeating Syndicate members (basically like Gym Leaders), finishing Dungeons, picking up materials, crafting items for your base and exploring the world (ie. unlocking fast-travel points and finding special items).

Each of these will show an indicator in the top left of your screen with your levels up. Levelling your base character will also level up any Pals that are also in your inventory too.

What Should You Spend Your Stat Points On?

We did cover this briefly in our beginner’s guide (which you can access HERE) but if you missed it, the two most important stats during the opening hours of Palworld come from Stamina and Weight. Carrying Stone, Ore, Wood or any other material can quickly cause you to become encumbered so make sure you level these up to avoid constant treks back and forth to your base.

Likewise, Stamina will allow you to hit away at ore deposits or trees much longer than you otherwise would. These two in particular are crucial for survival this early on.

How Do You Level Up Quickly?

There are several ways to level up quickly in the game. The first is to go in and change the World Settings, where you can switch the EXP Rate all the way up to maximum. Of course, this will only work if you’re playing single-player on your own server. Doing this will allow you to level up very fast and unlock everything in record time.

However, the “traditional” way to level up quickly stems from collecting 10 of each Pal. After collecting your first, the more you collect of the same kind, the higher the EXP drop rate. From the Beginner’s Plateau you can easily grab 10 Cattica, 10 Lamball and 10 Chikipi. In fact, a lot of these will be in your general area so you can just go ahead and grab those quickly.

While you do, scouring the world for individual materials on the ground will net you more experience points than just chipping away at Ore deposits and trees so when you’re exploring the world, make sure you do this to gain bonus bits of XP.

The top level you can reach right now is 50, so make sure you keep collecting 10 of the same Pal every time you encounter a new one, and you should level up very fast.
