Palworld Guide: How To Move Your Base
Palworld is the latest open world craze that’s taking the PC world by storm right now. And the alpha has finally dropped! With fantastic art direction, some great mechanics and a moreish gameplay style, there’s plenty to see and do with this one.
As you start to play through Palworld, you’ll reach a point where you’ll need to move your base to a more convenient location than your starting area. The world is vast, with lots to see and do and beyond using Fast travel points, sometimes it just makes more sense to move everything across to a more convenient locale.
Where Should You Move Your Base To?
Moving your base is something that you should only do if you feel like it’s going to benefit you in the long run. Ideally, you want to make sure your base is moved to a prime location, near to resources like wood and stone. Furthermore, finding somewhere secluded that won’t cause you to be attacked from all sides in a Raid is another preferable point to note.
If you hastily plopped down your Paldeck without giving it much thought when you first loaded up the game, moving your base makes perfect sense. Furthermore, make sure the place you choose has plenty of flat ground to place your base structures on too, like your shelter, Straw Beds for the Pals etc.
Once you’ve found the perfect place, it’s time to move everything around.
How Do You Move The Base?
In order to move the base, open up your Map and hover over your base. You’ll notice an option there that says “Disassemble Palbox”. Select this and read the warning. Basically, structures not placeable outside of the base will be disassembled while the others will remain. All Pls will be stored in the Palbox and the Palbox, once disassembled, can’t be restored. Once you’ve accepted all of this, select Yes and move across to the new location.
Do note though that the game doesn’t give you any transportation options (come on guys, Mammorest is right there!) so you’ll have to move everything by hand. With that in mind, it’s advisable to also find a new location that’s relatively nearby to a Fast Travel point to avoid lugging everything around.
However, it’s also worth noting that your Base will not be reset back to Level 1 when you disassemble it and reassemble at the new location. You’ll still be at the same level, as will your Pals too.
