Palworld: 10 Creatures That Should Receive Pal Variants

Many video games that feature adorable, cool, or horrid creatures often take inspiration from the ones that roam our world today. Additionally, other game developers tend to look to fictional works for motivation. For now, Palworld has many realistic and mythological creatures that fans either love or despise. Since more Pals are on the way, why not list some suggestions?

Firstly, to celebrate Palworld’s triumphs, we’ll be uploading many articles highlighting helpful tips, mesmerizing mods, and other things related to Palworld. Today, we’d like to note 10 creatures that should receive Pal variants in Palworld. Whether they’re animal or human-like in design, we argue these beasts would make for great Pals in the game.

If we miss any animals or fictional beings you’d love to see receive Pal variants, let us know in the comments below. Additionally, if you want to follow our Palworld walkthrough coverage, click here

Kangaroo

If Tekken can have a kangaroo with boxing gloves, it’s not farfetched for a game like Palworld to have a Pal based on this marsupial. With their great athleticism and prevalent nature, it’d be wonderful for Pocket Pair to create a Pal based on this species. For its typing, Pocket Pair may opt for a neutral type.

As for its Partner Skill, Palworld may make it mountable. This would make traversing the game’s landscapes exciting. However, since riding kangaroos is frowned upon in some areas, they may opt for a skill that gives your player character’s attacks a boost. Regardless of their decision, it’d be amazing to see this species appear in more video games.

Cerberus

Where Pokémon has three-headed beasts like Hydreigon, Palworld can opt for a three-headed fire-breathing canine like Cerberus. Although Palworld has its share of hellish beasts like Incineram, Maraith, Blazehowl, and others, a horrifying dog like Cerberus would add immense value to this world’s lore and ecosystem.

From its great Paldex entry potential to the skills it could possess, we can see this Hell-themed Pal becoming a fan-favorite among the game’s horror fanbase. Throw in some sufficient work suitability skills and powerful attacks, and you have yourself a Pal who’ll violently rake in cash for Pocket Pair.

Cheetah

Cheetahs would make for fascinating Pals in Palworld. They’re incredibly fast creatures with enough attacking power to tear a being to shreds if they desire to. While we expect a cheetah Pal to receive the neutral-typing, we’d prefer if it had an electric one. This typing gives the creature’s design more creative potential, an aspect some argue this game lacks.

Moreover, we anticipate Pocket Pair will give this feline’s Pal variant a mount-themed skill. Many would adore this choice because it’d make gathering items and world traversal speedier. With its sheer possibilities, we hope this cheetah Pal concept comes to fruition.

Cthulhu

Much like Cerberus, H.P. Lovecraft’s octopus monster Cthulhu would make for an incredible Pal in Palworld. Cthulhu’s Pal variant should receive the dark type and be treated as a high-ranking Pal. Although it’d be humorous to ride on this Pal’s back like Eric Cartman did in an episode of South Park, we feel it’d be great if this Pal’s skill gave your other dark-type Pals a boost in their dark attacks.

It’d work similarly to Foxcicle’s Partner Skill “Aurora Guide.” Additionally, this would serve as a slight nod to Cthulhu’s history since he’s known for having individuals honor his existence. Whatever the case may be, Pocket Pair would be foolish not to have a Pal based on one of the most notorious creatures in fiction history.

Dolphin

It took The Pokémon Company and Gamefreak nine Pokémon generations to give us a compelling dolphin-themed Pokémon like Finizen and Palafin. Therefore, it’d be hilarious if Pocket Pair inserted a dolphin-themed Pal sooner in its game. Not only would it throw shade toward those company’s direction, but it’d be intriguing to compare both dolphin creatures.

That aside, this dolphin would receive the water-typing. Yet, it should have access to some neutral and ice-type attacks to give it great combat potential in future Pal vs. Pal battles. Moreover, we can see Pocket Pair making this Pal ridable, granting players more water-type Pals to use when traversing the game’s oases.

Goblin

Goblins are intriguing creatures to follow in fantasy tales. Whether they’re portrayed as evildoers or wholesome allies, you’ll struggle to find one that isn’t crafty in some way. Having said that, it’d be interesting to see what type of goblin-themed Pal Pocket Pair would come up with. As with Pokémon’s Grimmsnarl, we can see this Palworld goblin obtain the dark type.

To stay true to most goblin depictions, the goblin species’s transporting, gathering, and handiwork skills should be at an all-time high. Moreover, this species should appear frequently in raids. As for its Partner Skill, Pocket Pair could give it one that increases the player’s hauling limits like Cattiva’s skill.

However, they could opt for one that forces dark-type Pals to drop more items than normal similar to Blazehowl’s skill.

Mosquito

Palworld already contains bees, beetles, moths, and other insect-like creatures. However, it’s surprising that Pocket Pair hasn’t made a mosquito Pal yet. Given how annoying these minuscule bugs can be, you’d think a mosquito would be in Palworld by now. For this Pal, we can see it receiving the dark or grass-type.

Additionally, its Partner Skill could function similarly to Penking’s Partner Skill. Instead of making fire-type Pals drop items, this one would force water-type Pals to drop them. Moreover, it’d be interesting if the mosquito Pal had a rivalry with Beegarde and Elizabee. This would add a layer of complexity to its lore. Overall, we can see the mosquito Pal being a fan-favorite amongst the populace.

Cyclops

To those unaware, Pocket Pair has gone on to claim that most of their current Pals were heavily influenced by games like Dragon Quest. Given that Dragon Quest’s beasts were designed by the legendary mangaka, Akira Toriyama, who could blame them? For example, Gumoss, one of Palworld’s grass-type Pals carries the same carefree vibes one gets when encountering a Slime in Dragon Quest

Therefore, since Dragon Quest has a Cyclops-themed monster in it, the chances of there being a Cyclops-themed Pal in Palworld are high. Much like the Cyclops in Dragon Quest, we can see Palworld opt for a hairy beast that likes to attack things with a large stone club. Additionally, we anticipate this Pal will be beneficial for transportation and handiwork tasks.

Rhino

If you’re a long-time Donkey Kong Country fanatic, you’d understand how fabulous it felt riding Rambi in those games. Although Palworld provides a similar enemy-bashing experience with Rushoar and others, this rhino Pal will restore many retro gamers’ fondness for the species. Like Rushoar, this rhino Pal should receive the ground type and be a ridable Pal.

On top of being mountable, it’d be great if this Pal gave your attacks ground-type damage and increased your damage dealt to Palworld’s ore. This would make it a must-catch Pal in Palworld. Moreover, it’d evoke the same powerful allure fans had when they used Rambi in the Donkey Kong Country series.

Zombie

Zombies remain a popular creature in media today. From the 1930s to current, these flesh-craving creatures have shimmied their way into many individual’s lives for decades now, and it doesn’t look like that’ll change anytime soon. Considering Palworld features obtainable human bandits and merchants, incorporating a zombie-themed Pal in Palworld doesn’t sound too outlandish.

Considering their horrid nature, the dark-type feels fitting for this one. Additionally, like other creepy Pals in Palworld, the zombie Pal should have a disheartening Paldex entry to pay tribute to other portrayals of the creature. Moreover, this Pal should drop efficient food-based items to stay true to their disheveled origins.

As for Partner Skills, Pocket Pair could give it Ribunny’s “Skilled Fingers” Partner Skill. However, in the zombie Pal’s case, it increases your whole team’s dark-type attacks. Yet, if you’re at your base, you’ll receive a work productivity boost while crafting something at any of your workbenches.
