ENA (Genie TV) has now announced the release of their upcoming webtoon-based K-drama ‘Namnam’ also known as Not Others / Strangers. Starring Choi Soo-young of Girls’ Generation (SNSD) in the lead role, we see Park Sung-hoon return to the small screen as the male lead after shocking fans with his performance in a negative role in Netflix’s The Glory.

What is Not Others about?
The show is based on the webtoon Namnam (남남) written by Jeong Young-rong which follows the story of a mother-daughter duo – Kim Eun-mi and Kim Jin-hee. After having Jin-hee when she was just a high-schooler, Eun-mi is not a regular mom but a cool mom. After growing up in her childish mother’s shadow, Jin-hee is finally ready to discover the world on her own.
The only catch here is that Jin-hee, who is a rookie cop, still lives with Eun-mi who works as a nurse. The mother-daughter duo try to find romance in their respective lives as they struggle to balance their relationship with each other at the same time.
Where Can I Watch Not Others Season 1?
Lies Hidden in My Garden is a mini-series and will be available to watch on the network ENA for those in South Korea. The show will also be available to watch on the streaming platform Viki with a valid subscription for international fans.
Not Others Episode 8 Release Date
Episode 8 of Not Others will release on Tuesday 8th August at 10 pm (KST) / 9 am (EST) / 6 am (ET) on the TV network – ENA for South Korean viewers. Expect the episode to drop on Viki a few hours after its original release.
Also do expect the episodes to drop with English subtitles. Each episode of Not Others will have a runtime of around 45-50 minutes.
How Many Episodes Will Not Others Have?
It has been revealed that Not Others will be shorter than a regular K-drama with 12 episodes in total. The show will also be releasing two episodes each week with new episodes dropping every Monday and Tuesday until the last week of August.
The show stars Choi Soo-young (Sooyoung of SNSD) as well as Jeon Hye-jin in the lead roles of the mother-daughter duo. Hye-jin plays Kim Eun-mi the childish mother while Soo-young plays Kim Jin-hee, the daughter. Actor Ahn Jae-wook plays Eun-mi’s love interest, Park Jin-hong, while Park Sung-hoon plays Jin-hee’s love interest, Eun Jae-won.
