August 7
Monument (2018)
A group of students are on their way to an internship at a remote hotel. But when they wake up on the cold bus on which they are traveling, one of them has mysteriously disappeared. What happened to the student? And are the rest of the group prepared for what lies ahead?
Tower: A Bright Day (2017)
Just before her daughter’s first communion, Mula’s long-lost sister Kaja arrives on the scene. It should be time for a reconciliation but in this psychological horror movie from Poland, Mula has a reason to be afraid of her estranged relative.

The Communion Girl (2022)
From Hellraiser: Revelations director Victor Garcia comes this 80s-set Spanish chiller about a group of teens who happen to meet a young girl, dressed for her first communion, holding a doll. From that moment on, the lives of our protagonists are (according to the synopsis of this terror tale) turned into a living hell!
August 14
A Dark Song (2016)
After her son is kidnapped and murdered by teens who were practising black magic, a woman rents a house in the Welsh countryside and hires an occultist to contact the spirit of the dead boy. What could possibly go wrong? Well, quite a lot, as you’ll know if you have seen similar horror movies, including the recent Shudder Original Brooklyn 45 which demonstrated the consequences of opening a gateway to the other side!
American Latina (2021)
A dentist from Latina is shocked to discover a girl tied up and asking for help in his cellar. What is she doing there? You might not stick around to find out as this study of one man’s breakdown isn’t very good according to some movie critics.
Elizabeth Harvest (2018)
Abbey Lee and Ciaran Hinds star in this disturbing sci-fi thriller about a woman named Elizabeth who marries a wealthy scientist and moves into his magnificent home. She is able to roam around the house freely, except for one room that she is forbidden from entering. When her new husband goes away on business, Elizabeth decides to investigate and discovers disturbing secrets behind the room’s locked door.
August 18
Bad Things (2023)
A group of friends visit a snowy resort for a weekend getaway but their plans for a long-deserved break are disrupted by the long-deceased guests who turn up to haunt them! There are echoes of The Shining in this recent chiller that even includes a pair of creepy twins!
Sea Fever (2019)
The crew of a West Ireland trawler becomes marooned at sea and are forced into a life-or-death situation when a growing parasite gets into their water supply! Dougray Scott and Hermione Corfield star in this dread-inducing chiller.
