New movie Air, which reteams Ben Affleck with Matt Damon, is making its debut on Prime Video this month, only a few weeks after it was granted a theatrical release. This isn’t the only recent movie to get its streaming premiere as Maybe I Do, a romantic comedy starring Diane Keaton and Richard Gere, is also being made available to Prime subscribers.
Check out this month’s highlights below and then keep scrolling to take a look at some of the other titles landing on Amazon Prime Video UK this May.
Please note: This list is correct at the time of writing but as Amazon tends to drop titles onto their service without warning, you can expect plenty more movies and shows to land on Prime Video over the coming weeks.

One True Loves (2023)
From director Andy Fickman (Playing With Fire), comes this romantic drama about a woman who is forced to choose between the husband she thought was dead and the person she is now engaged to. Unfortunately, this adaptation of the 2016 novel of the same name failed to win the heart of most movie critics.

The Suicide Squad (2021)
James Gunn’s movie is an irreverent delight and it is far better than the 2016 comic book flick from David Ayer that also headlined the anarchic anti-heroes of the title. This time around, supervillains Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Peacemaker (John Cena), Bloodsport (Idris Elba) and a collection of other nutty cons are tasked with tracking down an evil scientist by the cold head of Task Force X, Amanda Waller (Viola Davis).
Beautiful Disaster (2023)
Based on the novel of the same name by Jamie McGuire, this new romance film stars Dylan Sprouse and Virginia Gardner as two mismatched college students who inevitably start to fall for one another.

Reminiscence (2021)
Hugh Jackman stars as Nick Bannister, a ‘private investigator of the mind’ who gives his clients the chance to relive any memories they desire. When he falls for one of his clients, his life becomes very complicated when another client’s memories implicate her in a series of violent crimes. This sci-fi noir thriller from writer-director Lisa Joy (Westworld) is stylishly made and enjoyable to watch though it does get a little convoluted in places.
12th May
Air (2023)
This biographical sports movie, which tells the story of Nike employee Sonny Vaccaro (Matt Damon) and his pursuit of basketball legend Michael Jordan for a sneaker deal, is getting a surprisingly early streaming release after its April debut in theatres. Some critics have glowingly compared the movie to a “slam dunk” while others have been a little less positive but regardless of critical opinion, if you have ever proudly worn a pair of Nike Jordans, you owe it to yourself to give this one a go.
Last Light – Limited Series
‘Lost’ actor Matthew Fox stars in this ecological thriller series about a separated family who try to reach one another when a global oil crisis unfolds and the world descends into chaos. The series poses the question: How far would you go to save the ones you love?

The Never Ending Murder – Limited Series
In 1991, 18-year-old Nicola Payne from Coventry went missing while walking to her parent’s home. She has never been found and there are some who think she may have been abducted and murdered. This new series re-examines Payne’s disappearance with interviews with family members and the police officers involved with the case.

Maybe I Do (2023)
After Michelle (Emma Roberts) and Allen (Luke Bracey) decide to get married, they invite their respective parents to meet one another. But it turns out their parents have already met and know one another intimately! Years after starring in Looking For Mr. Goodbar together, Diane Keaton and Richard Gere reunite for this undemanding but occasionally amusing romantic comedy.

Bed Rest (2022)
When Julie (Melissa Barrera) becomes pregnant and moves into a new home with her husband, she is ordered to take bed rest. Unfortunately, this opportunity to relax goes out the window when she starts to suspect the house could be haunted. Could she be seeing things? Or is she really being troubled by ghosts? All will be revealed if you decide to put your feet up with this competent but generic chiller.
27th May
Malignant (2021)
In James Wans’ bonkers fright-fest, a woman’s abusive husband is killed and the police think she might have committed the murder. Did she do it? Or is the killer someone (or something) else besides? We aren’t going to reveal the movie’s twist here but you might have fun trying to work out the answer if you tune into this creepy and bizarre horror outing from The Conjuring director.
