Movies And Shows Coming To Paramount+ UK In July 2023

NBC’s reboot of Quantum Leap is streaming on Paramount+ this month and so too is Special Ops: Lioness, a brand-new thriller starring Zoe Saldana.

July 4

Sugar (2022)

Sugar is a fictionalized version of real-life events, in which two influencers from Quebec were convicted of smuggling cocaine into Sydney, Australia, after agreeing to carry the drugs in return for a luxury vacation aboard a cruise ship.

The true story behind this film is relayed in the documentary Around the World with 30 Kilos which is also streaming on this date.

July 6

A Thin Line – Season 1

This German series follows Ana and Benni, two sisters in a quest to expose environmental wrongdoing, whose lives take a bad turn after they hack a government server.

July 7

Wifelike (2022)

Grieving widower William is assigned an AI companion who has been programmed to behave like his late wife. However, things quickly become complicated for the heartbroken man when a mysterious organization, which is against AI exploitation, attempts to sabotage her programming. Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors) and Elena Kampouris (Sacred Lies) star in this poorly-received thriller.

July 13

Quantum Leap – Season 1

Set 30 years after Sam Beckett found himself with no way to come home after one leap too many is this reboot of the classic sci-fi show starring Raymond Lee as Dr. Ben Song, who restarts the Quantum Leap accelerator and gets caught in a ‘leaping’ loop of his own. A second season is currently in the works and is due to be released later this year.

July 23

Special Ops: Lioness – Season 1

Nicole Kidman, Zoe Saldana, and Morgan Freeman are among the A-list cast of this 8-part thriller series from American filmmaker Taylor Sheridan. This one has been highly anticipated for some time so here’s hoping it’s worth the wait.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“Lioness is based on a real-life CIA program and follows Cruz Manuelos, a rough-around-the-edges but passionate young Marine recruited to join the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to help bring down a terrorist organization from within.”

July 27

Ghosts of Beirut – Limited Series

Using first-hand interviews and other documentary elements, this heart-pounding thriller is based on the real-life manhunt for Imad Mughniyeh, the shadowy Lebanese terrorist who outwitted his adversaries in the Mossad and CIA for over two decades.

Zoey 102 (2023)

Fans of Zoey 101 will want to check out this sequel movie that reunites many of the cast members of that Nickelodeon series. Here’s the official synopsis:

“Over a decade after the iconic series ended, Zoey Brooks is still trying to figure out life and love, this time in her 20s. The Pacific Coast Academy (PCA) gang returns to Malibu for an over-the-top wedding turned high school reunion.”
