The Tattooist of Auschwitz – Limited Series
Release Date: May 2
Based on the novel of the same name, this powerful new drama series tells the real-life story of Lale Sokolov (Jonah Hauer-King), a Jewish prisoner whose task it was to tattoo ID numbers on prisoners’ arms in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp during World War Two.
The Equalizer 3 (2023)
Release Date: May 3
While the movie series has never quite captured the tone (or the theme music) of the original television show starring Edward Woodward, audiences have still enjoyed the adventures of Denzel Washington’s Robert McCall.
In this brutal return for the former intelligence officer, it’s McCall vs the Mafia when he realizes his friends are under their control. Will he survive this latest mission?
Blue Beetle (2023)
Release Date: May 24
Cobra Kai star Xolo Maridueña takes on the role of Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle in this first outing for the Latin American superhero. We don’t yet know if the Blue Beetle will make a comeback in Jame Gunn’s rebooted DCU but regardless, this is still an entertaining adventure that is sure to please comic book fans.
Turtles All The Way Down (2024)
Release Date: May 26
Based on the YA novel by John Green, this new romantic drama centers on 16-year-old Aza Holmes, an American high school student with OCD, who reconnects with her childhood crush while trying to solve a mystery surrounding a fugitive billionaire.
The Sympathizer – Limited Series
Release Date: May 27
Based on the 2015 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, this historical black comedy tells the story of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy (Hoa Xuande) during the final days of the Vietnam War. Robert Downey Jr also stars in this much-anticipated series.
The Exorcist: Believer (2023)
Release Date: May 31
David Gordon Green, the director of the rebooted Halloween trilogy, is at the helm of this latest addition to the Exorcist franchise. But despite the presence of Ellen Burstyn, who returns as Chris MacNeil (the mother of Regan, the possessed child in the first film), this wasn’t well-received by critics at the time of its release.
In this new movie, two girls are possessed by a demon. Will their souls be saved?
