My Stand-In – Season 1 Episode 3 Preview: Release Date & Where to Watch

My Stand-In

Coming in hot and rated 18+, new Thai BL My Stand-In is directed by Khom Kongkiat Khomsiri, who also helmed KinnPorsche.

It’s a Thai BL drama following the strange life of stuntman Joe who body doubles for Tong, a famous actor. In a relationship with Ming, he doesn’t realize that Ming sees him as Tong’s replacement. Not long after finding out, he dies in an accident on set. When he wakes, Joe is in the body of another man, also called Joe. He manages to return to his old life as the new Joe and meets Ming again. This time, Ming seeks the new Joe, holding memories of the original Joe. Sound confusing? Let’s watch together and see how it all plays out.

The drama is adapted from novel Professional Body Double by Shui Qiang Cheng and stars Poom Phuripan Sapsangsawat (Bake Me Please, Jenny AM/PM) as Joe, Up Poompat Iam-samang (Start-Up) as Ming and Mek Jirakit Thawornwong as Tong (The Player, Angel Beside Me).

Here’s an excerpt from the novel, to give you a taste: ‘He didn’t know if God was giving him a second chance to live because he wanted to give him extra loving care or was it because he hasn’t messed with him enough.’
