Biggest Movies on US Streaming Services in January 2024

The Equalizer 3 (2023)

In this brutal return for the former intelligence officer, it’s McCall vs the Mafia when he realizes his friends are under their control. Will he survive this latest mission? 


Society of the Snow (2024)

This new film from J.A. Bayona (The Impossible) retells the true story of the Uruguayan 1972 Andes flight disaster in which a plane crashed into a glacier, resulting in a brutal fight for survival for the remaining passengers of the crash.


Foe (2023)

Saoirse Ronan, Paul Mescal, and Aaron Pierre star in this future-set thriller based on the novel by Iain Reid. The film tells the story of husband and wife Junior and Hen whose quiet life is thrown into turmoil when a stranger turns up at their door with a startling proposal.


Good Grief (2024)

Dan Levy (Schitt’s Creek) directs and stars in this new film about a grieving man who goes on a soul-searching trip to Paris with his two best friends after his husband unexpectedly dies.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023)

Set seven years after the events of Bumblebee, this latest installment in the franchise takes place in 1994 and follows Noah, an electronics expert, and Elena, an artifact researcher, who find themselves caught in the middle of the Ancient War between the various Transformers factions. These include the Maximals, descendants of the Autobots that can transform into mechanized beasts.


Destroy All Neighbors (2024)

Here’s a movie we expect will be relatable to you, especially if you struggle to work from home because of your proverbial neighbors from hell! Not that we’re suggesting your life should follow this movie’s plotline, however, as it tells the story of a self-absorbed musician who inadvertently decapitates his neighbor after working up the courage to confront him.


Lift (2024)

Kevin Hart and Gugu Mbatha-Raw headline this new comedy heist movie about a master thief and her ex-boyfriend who team up to steal $100 million in gold bullion that is being transported on a passenger flight.


Role Play (2024)

Kelly Cuoco stars as Emma, a mother with a wonderful husband (David Oyelowo) and two kids in the suburbs of New Jersey. It turns out she is hiding a secret, as her hubby discovers when he finds out she has another life as an assassin-for-hire.


Self-Reliance (2023)

Jake Johnson, Anna Kendrick, and Andy Samberg star in this hilarious comedy thriller about a man who is offered a million dollars to take part in a life-or-death reality game show.


The Passenger

Release Date: January 15

Where To Watch: Shudder

Johnny Berchtold and Kyle Gallner star in this psychological thriller about a man who must find a way to survive when his co-worker snaps and goes on a killing spree.

The movie is from Swallowed director Carter Smith so if The Passenger is anything like that intense and troubling survival flick, you might want to take your seat for this one.

Fast X (2023)

In this penultimate entry in the long-running franchise, Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew are up against Dante (Jason Momoa), the son of nefarious drug kingpin Hernan Reyes who was killed by Luke Hobbs (Dwyane Johnson) at the end of 2011’s Fast Five.

The grieving Dante has spent the last 12 years masterminding a plot to get his revenge – a mission of vengeance that involves Dom’s 8-year-old son. This is the catalyst for loads of over-the-top action scenes, including a heist sequence in Rome featuring a giant rolling bomb and a life-or-death street race involving Dom and Dante.


Nope (2022)

Release Date: January 18

Jordan Peele’s movie was compared to Close Encounters Of The Third Kind in the days leading up to its release but Nope is far more than just a sci-fi movie about the aftermath of a UFO sighting. Look closer into the story and you will discover a movie that satirizes our obsession with spectacle and the marginalization of Black people in Hollywood.


The Underdoggs (2024)

Snoop Dogg stars as a washed-up football player who is sentenced to community service coaching an unruly pee-wee football team.

You Hurt My Feelings (2023)

From acclaimed director Nicole Holofcener comes this comedy-drama about a novelist (Julia-Louis Dreyfuss) whose long-standing marriage to her husband Don (Tobias Menzies) is upended when she overhears him giving his honest opinion about her latest book. As you’ll gather from the title, his negative remarks hurt her feelings.
