Schindler’s List 2
Schindler’s List is by far Steven Spielberg’s darkest movie, focusing on the atrocities of the Holocaust. It was released in 1993 and continues to be a must see for anyone who wants to learn about the true story of what happened in the war with the Jewish community. It’s a story that has been told many times, but this is by far the best depiction of it. The movie is in black and white apart from when we see the tragic little girl in red who ultimately perishes, hitting home the severity and devastation of the persecution of the Jewish people during World War 2. But will there be a Schindler’s List 2? Or do we have to settle for this one being a one-off tragic drama? Here’s what we know at the time of writing:
What is Schindler’s List about?
Set in German-occupied Poland during World War 2, a man called Oskar Schindler becomes concerned for his Jewish workforce after witnessing their persecution by the Nazis.
Will there be a sequel to Schindler’s List?
No, Schindler’s List 2 won’t happen for a very straightforward reason: the story has already been told. The original film was regarded as an entirely self-contained, stand-alone narrative. This is a true story that has no need for a sequel. However, similar movies to consider that elaborate on this tragic period in history are The Pianist and Life is Beautiful.
When could a sequel be released?
The sequel would have at least been discussed if it were in the works. However, since there is currently no information regarding Schindler’s List 2, it is best to avoid getting your hopes up, as the likelihood of one is extremely low.
