Road House 2

Doug Liman directed the recent remake of Road House, re-imagining it for a modern audience. Jake Gyllenhaal took on the role of Dalton, previously portrayed by Patrick Swayze in the 1989 cult classic. The movie also saw ex-UFC fighter, Conor McGregor make his acting debut as the villainous Knox. But will there be a Road House 2? Or do we have to settle for this remake being the end of the action franchise? Here’s what we know at the time of writing:

What is Road House about?

Ex-UFC fighter Dalton (Gyllenhaal) takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, but he soon discovers this paradise location is not all it seems and is riddled with corruption. He must fight off the villainous businessman Ben Brandt and his vicious associate Knox (McGregor) to save the area from ruin.

Will there be a sequel to Road House?

Possibly. There was a post-credits scene involving McGregor’s character Knox escaping the hospital after it was revealed he survived his injuries. Road House 2 hasn’t been announced yet, but never say never. So far, it sounds like the fans are loving Road House, so once Amazon finds out how many people tuned in to watch it, we’ll know more about the possibility of a sequel.

When could a sequel be released?

The sequel would have at least been discussed if it were in the works. However, since there is currently no information regarding Road House 2, it is best to avoid getting your hopes up, as the likelihood of one is in the balance.

Of course, this is all speculation and if anything changes, we’ll be sure to update you!
