R.L. Stine is one of the greatest horror authors of all time, and his Goosebumps series continues to be very popular with young adults. It was adapted into a movie version in 2015 and saw Jack Black play the author himself in a weird and wonderful comedy horror tale. It was followed up by a sequel in 2018 called Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween. But will there be a Goosebumps 3? Or do we have to settle for just the first two horror comedies? A teenager called Zach teams up with the daughter of young adult horror author R.L. Stine after the writer’s imaginary demons are set free on the town of Madison, Delaware.
Will there be a sequel to Goosebumps 2?
No, Goosebumps 3 likely won’t happen for a very straightforward reason: the sequel in 2018 did very poorly at the box office and garnered negative reviews. However, a new series based on R.L. Stine’s creepy novels has recently been released on Disney+ and has been well received by fans and critics.
What could Goosebumps 3 be about?
Despite a sequel being very unlikely, in theory, it could focus on the further adventures of R.L. Stine as more of his creepy creations come to life in the real world.
When could a sequel be released?
The sequel would have at least been discussed if it were in the works. However, since there is currently no information regarding Goosebumps 3, it is best to avoid getting your hopes up, as the likelihood of one is extremely low.
