Dream Scenario 2
Nicolas Cage is having a renaissance at the moment with a string of quality roles, and in Dream Scenario he puts in his best performance in years. The movie is directed by Kristoffer Borgli and co-stars Julianne Nicholson, Dylan Baker and Michael Cena. But will there be a Dream Scenario 2? Or do we have to settle for this one being a one-off comedy drama? Here’s what we know at the time of writing:
What is Dream Scenario about?
Hapless family man Paul Matthews’ life is turned upside down when millions of strangers suddenly start seeing him in their dreams. When the nature of the dreams turn into nightmares, Paul is forced to navigate his newfound stardom.

Will there be a sequel to Dream Scenario?
Spoilers ahead for Dream Scenario. No, Dream Scenario 2 won’t happen for a very straightforward reason: the story has already been told. The original film was regarded as an entirely self-contained, stand-alone narrative. It came to a fitting conclusion when Paul Matthews divorced his wife and it was revealed that a new technology exists that can put you in other people’s dreams. It also allows corporations to advertise their products to people in their dreams. In the end, Paul uses this technology to try to appear as a hero in his ex-wife’s dream.
What could Dream Scenario 2 be about?
Despite a sequel being very unlikely, in theory, a sequel could focus on the new technology that puts a character in someone else’s dreams and the potential for drama in this, but it is probably best left as it is.
When could Dream Scenario 2 be released?
The sequel would have at least been discussed if it were in the works. However, since there is currently no information regarding Dream Scenario 2, it is best to avoid getting your hopes up, as the likelihood of one is extremely low.
