What is Donnie Brasco about?
Joe Pistone is an undercover FBI agent who infiltrates the Bonanno mafia crime family during the 1970s under the alias of Donnie Brasco, a jewel thief. Brasco gains the confidence of a mafia hitman called Lefty Ruggiero and moves deeper into the mafia world, crossing the line between FBI agent and criminal.
Will there be a sequel to Donnie Brasco?
No, Donnie Brasco 2 won’t happen for a very straightforward reason: the story has already been told. The original film was regarded as an entirely self-contained, stand-alone narrative. It was based on a true story, so there is no more of this story to be told.
What could Donnie Brasco 2 be about?
Despite a sequel being very unlikely, but if they did make one, it would likely follow another mob story based on the same crime family Joe Pistone managed to infiltrate back in the 1970s.
When could a sequel be released?
The sequel would have at least been discussed if it were in the works. However, since there is currently no information regarding Donnie Brasco 2, it is best to avoid getting your hopes up, as the likelihood of one is extremely low.
