Prisoner’s Daughter 2
Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke’s latest movie stars Brian Cox as Max, a former mob enforcer who is given an early reprieve from his prison sentence when he is diagnosed with cancer and given only a few months left to live.
His only family is his daughter Maxine (Kate Beckinsale) and her young son Ezra (Christian Convery) but she doesn’t want anything to do with her dad and the young lad has been led to believe his grandfather is dead. But despite Maxine’s reluctance to let her father back into her life, she does so, mainly because she is struggling financially and needs his help to pay her mortgage.
If you have seen and enjoyed this movie, you might be interested in a sequel.
But will there be a Prisoner’s Daughter 2? Or have the chances of a sequel gone into lockdown? Here’s what we know.
How does the plot of Prisoner’s Daughter develop?
Maxine is initially hostile towards Max but over the course of the movie, the father and daughter grow closer again. He helps her get a better job and even helps his grandson fight back against the kids who are tormenting him at school.
Unfortunately, this family’s happy reunion is threatened by Tyler, Ezra’s violent drug-addict father, who causes them a lot of trouble.
Max is determined to prevent Tyler from ruining his family’s life and takes drastic action to secure their safety.

Will there be a Prisoner’s Daughter 2?
A sequel to Prisoner’s Daughter is very unlikely.
The movie ends in a fairly conclusive way so there is no need for a follow-on story. And as there is no word of a sequel to Prisoner’s Daughter online, this gives us further reason to believe a sequel won’t happen.
Of course, if a sequel is announced, we will update this article with the relevant information. You shouldn’t get your hopes up though as we really don’t think Prisoner’s Daughter 2 will ever be given the green light!
What could happen in Prisoner’s Daughter 2?
In the unlikely event that a sequel is released, it will likely focus on Maxine and Ezra again as they try to rebuild their lives after the events of the first movie. Tyler might turn up in the sequel too but we won’t reveal what his motives might be, as that will ruin the ending of Prisoner’s Daughter.
