When she travels to Tokyo to visit his apartment, she finds out he has another family. With her step-brother and his friend May, she’ll find out more about his father and what is Monarch. At the same time, we go back to the past to unravel the beginnings of this organization and the monsters inhabiting their world.

What Happened In Episode 2?
Tim, part of Monarch, starts pursuing Cate, Kentaro, and May. He says they’ll be safe with him as long as they give him the files they found, but they don’t trust him. Kentaro takes them to Lee, who says they need to choose quickly what they want to do. Lee has an ankle monitor made by Monarch, so Tim already knows where they are.
In 1952, we see Lee, Bill Randa, and Dr. Keiko meeting each other. They investigate radiation trails and local folklore, reaching an enormous ship stranded in the middle of the forest. As they investigate it, a giant dragon attacks them, and Bill almost dies.
