Roach Hard With a Vengeance

Megamind Rules! Episode 3 begins with Megamind giving a vlog of his lair with his gadgets. The lair is filled with tons of garbage and Chum blames Kieko for it. Kieko claims there is no trashcan because of the absurd system in the lair. Megamind tells Chum to clean it up and Kieko to help him record.

As they record, Cockroaches show up on the fallen trash and Megamind is terrified to see them. He locks himself in the secure bunker and asks Chum to get rid of them. Chum accidentally uses the intelligence booster on a cockroach, making it intelligent.

Rochelle sneaks into Megamind’s bunker and challenges him. She tells him about her plan for world domination. She demands for the Intelligence spray to create an army of intelligent roaches. Kieko and Chum try to come up with a plan to save Megamind and the intelligence booster, but Rochelle communicates with her roaches to steal the intelligence booster.

The roaches chase the Intelligence Booster while Kaeko and Chum pass it to each other while running. Chum tries to use the machine to atomize the bottle, but it is set to gelato. The cockroaches manage to grab the can and run, but Kaeko and Chum retrieve it soon enough. They then try using the time machine and transport it 2 seconds into the future. He also tries to use his robot, but it crashes into a window.

Chum and Kaeko try to climb up and retrieve the bottle, but Rochelle takes control of Chum’s suit. Megamind is unable to muster the courage and swat Rochelle. Just before she can walk the two off the edge, Megamind tells her the story of why he is afraid of cockroaches. He tells her about the time he was a baby in prison who made a bunch of ham sandwiches into his pillow causing hundreds of cockroaches to swarm him in his sleep.

Megamind intended it to be a distraction, but the cockroaches manage to get the spray and Rochelle sprays them all making them intelligent. As the cockroaches begin to run away, Chum uses the Power Vac to suck them up. Megamind then loads them onto a rocket and sends them off to another planet at the end of Megamind Rules! Episode 3.

The Episode Review

Megamind Rules! Episode 3 finds Megamind battling one of his childhood fears of roaches when Chum accidentally boosts the intelligence of one. With her new intelligence, Rochelle intends to boost the intelligence of all the other roaches and then rule the world. Rochelle succeeds in obtaining the intelligence booster and boosting the intelligence of her fellow roaches.

Fortunately, the group captures all the roaches and sends them off to space. The episode teaches a few valuable lessons: the importance of cleanliness and the importance of facing your greatest fears.
