It’s been five years since Masamune-kun stormed the anime world… and then ended with a rather subjective conclusion. However, it seems Masamune-kun has: “returned to this town for revenge!” Officially titled Masamune-kun’s Revenge R, this second season looks set to continue the story developed in the first.
The protagonist is Makabe Masamune, a weak and chubby boy who’s rejected harshly by the beautiful Adagaki Aki. After losing weight, changing his name and returning as a handsome heartthrob, Makabe’s plan to make Aki fall in love with him so that he can reject her just as harshly as she did, is in full swing. Expect this general storyline to continue moving through the second season.

Where Can I Watch Masamune-kun’s Revenge?
Masamune-kun’s Revenge Season 2 is airing in Japan on Tokyo MX, Bs Fuji, AT-X, and KBS Tokyo. However, it is available to stream on Crunchyroll outside of Asian territories.
Masamune-kun’s Revenge Season 2 Episode 2 Release Date
Masamune-kun’s Revenge Season 2 Episode 2 will release on Monday 10th July at approximately 11pm (JST) / 4pm (GMT) / 8am (PT) / 10am (CT). Of course, it’s really dependent on how quickly the platform uploads new episodes. Expect this to be pretty close to the release time though.
Masamune-kun’s episodes will drop in the native Japanese language with subtitles. Dubbing may well arrive later on down the line, but will largely be dependent on how popular this anime will be.
How Many Episodes Will Masamune-kun’s Revenge Season 2 Have?
No official announcement has been made just yet, but given the first season ran for 12 episodes, it’s not outside the realm of possibility to believe the same here too. The second season will seemingly adapt the remaining story all the way to the Masamune-kun’s Revenge manga’s ending. We could even see the After School story arc too.
For now though, we do know one episode will release a week. So with that in mind, we’ve got approximately 10 episodes left after this week’s chapter.
