Straight off Strong Girl Namsoon, we reunite with our beloved heartthrob, Byeon Woo Seok, in My Lovely Runner. This latest fantasy rom-com also stars the gorgeous and talented Kim Hye-hoon, who plays the role of Im Sol. Im Sol time travels back 15 years to save her favourite celebrity, Ryu Sung Jae.
Ryu Sung Jae is one of the most popular celebrities on top of the game. However, it is not all glitz and glamour; he is exhausted. Can Im Sol save his fate by travelling to the past in time to change the trajectories of their lives?
Lovely Runner Episode 2 [Spoilers] – What to expect?
Based on the preview for episode 2, Im Sol is determined to get close to 19-year-old Sung-jae to save him. She even asks for advice about how to get close to someone. She keeps pestering and following him around, and he starts noticing her. At one point, we see him asking her to stop smoking. It is possible that he is intrigued by all the attention she is giving him. We also see him chasing after the bus she is in; we can’t help but wonder what led to this circumstance.
It also looks like episode 2 will introduce us to a new character, Kim Tae-sung. He is the local bad-boy hottie that most girls seem to have fallen for. Is this the guy Hyun-joo alluded to in episode 1? The one who got into a fight and dropped out shortly after Im Sol’s accident? Does he like Im Sol, and will he be our second lead? It certainly looks that way and we think he is – how exciting!
Either way, based on the trailer, Sung-jae doesn’t know much about Tae-sung and it looks like their first meeting doesn’t go so well.
The trailer also touches on Sung-jae’s arm injury and how it is affecting his swimming. Meanwhile, Im Sol is prepared to stop him from hurting his arm further. She even sneaks into the swimming pool at night during his solo practice to stop him. He is shocked and asks why she is acting this way. In turn, she says she will do anything to save him. Do you think Im Sol will manage to save him?
