Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is an upcoming role-playing game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega.
The game, which is the latest title in the Yakuza series, is centred around Ichiban Kasuga, the protagonist of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Kazuma Kiryu, the original protagonist of the Yakuza franchise.
According to the game’s official synopsis, these two larger-than-life heroes are brought together by the hand of fate (or perhaps something more sinister) for an adventure so big that it spans the Pacific!

What is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth about?
The Yakuza Fandom Wiki has detailed the following story description:
“Ichiban Kasuga has left his criminal past behind and is now working as a normal salaryman in Tokyo. However, one day, news about his criminal past surface on a popular VTuber stream, leading to Kasuga being fired.
Lacking money and direction, Kasuga is about to fall back on old habits when his former Yakuza colleagues inform him that his real mother, Akane, has surfaced in Hawaii. Kasuga takes a plane ride to Honolulu to reunite with his long-lost mother. However, not long after landing in Honolulu, Ichiban finds himself mugged and stripped of all his possessions, waking up completely naked on a public beach.
With no money, cellphone, or local friends to help, Kasuga is once again forced to build himself back up from the bottom, finding ways to earn money and stay alive as he continues his search for Akane, trying to find her before any of the criminal syndicates operating in Honolulu find her first.
Helping him in his efforts is the legendary Kazuma Kiryu himself, who has travelled to Honolulu for his own reasons.”
In terms of gameplay, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is an RPG with a turn-based combat system. Outside of the main story, you can take on jobs and participate in minigames to give you a break from the criminal conspiracies on Dondoko Island.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X on 26 January 2024.

Is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth single-player or multiplayer?
We expect the game to be single-player only although some users on Reddit have speculated that the minigames might be multiplayer. As such, we don’t have a definite answer to give you here but you’ll be able to find out more when the game is released at the end of January.
How long is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth?
A regular playthrough has been estimated to last around 40 hours but if you explore everything the game has to offer, including side quests and activities, then the game will likely last around 100 hours.
Will Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth have any DLC?
Those who pre-order the game will benefit from the Special Job Set (with two new jobs) and the Hero’s Booster Pack that will help players level up faster.
