Kaiju No. 8 can be read at a number of different places online. Viz Media is available for those in the US and Canada, while Manga Plus has the rights to drop new chapters. However, it will also be available to read on Shonen Jump too.
10 volumes of this have dropped in paperback form in Japan, but the English translations have been delayed. We have 8 volumes published in English at the moment, and you can buy these on Amazon, Waterstones, Comic Shops and Viz Media, to name a few. You can choose the paperback or the digital version on each of these sites.
Kaiju No. 8: Volume 9 Release Date
Kaiju No. 8: Volume 9 will be released on Tuesday 2nd January 2024. However, in some regions (like the UK) this one is dropping on Thursday 4th February 2024. However, as mentioned before, the English translations suffered a delay. You can already read this volume in some other languages, like French, Italian, and Portuguese. Most of them were released in September of this year.
All other chapters and volumes are available to read on the above websites, while an anime is set to start at Crunchyroll in April 2024.
Which Chapters Does Kaiju No 8 Volume 9 Include?
Volume 9 will include 7 chapters of Kaiju No. 8. They are:

They are part of two story arcs: “The Compatible User Arc” and “Cataclysms Arc.”

How Many Chapters Will Kaiju No 8 Have?
It’s hard to say how many chapters Kaiju No. 8 will be. The anime drops next year in 2024, and that will undoubtedly spike interest in manga sales for this one. However, there’s always the danger of this one petering out and becoming repetitive. Early estimates would place this one to finish in the region of 150-200 chapters, but take that with a pinch of salt!
What is Volume 9 About?
After the events of Volume 8 and the threat of Monster #9, it’s clear Defense Force isn’t strong enough yet. But they are already preparing. Reno becomes the first compatible user of No. 6 in history and undergoes special training. Hoshina becomes more used to his new weapons and trains Kafka in squadron-style combat techniques. Kikoru surprises Nanami and gets authorization to inherit her mother’s weapon. Will they be ready to defeat Monster #9?
