Kagurabachi Chapter 19 Release Date, Time & Where To Read

Kagurabachi: Chapter 19

Kagurabachi is the latest Shonen Jump offering with much potential and a decent following amongst the publisher’s fanbase. It’s fairly new having just released in late September of 2023, but offers a compelling revenge tale centered around the action and fantasy genre.

Currently, in the Sorcery and Enchanted Blade story arc, our tale follows Chihiro. He’s a young swordsmith who spends his days training under his famous swordsmith father, Kunishige. One day, a group of evil sorcerers called the Hishaku arrive, murder Kunishige, and steal his enchanted blades, leaving Chihiro to wallow in misery.

Now older and experienced, Chihiro teams up with his father’s old companion Shiba, and seeks revenge against the Hishaku.

How Many Chapters Will Kagurabachi Have?

Since the manga’s in its early stages, it likely won’t be ending anytime soon. It’s safe to assume this one will be around for a long time. However, it depends on how popular this one remains, and what lies ahead for Chihiro and his comrades during their quest for the Hishaku and his father’s enchanted blades.

What Happened In Chapter 18?

In Kagurabachi Chapter 18, we begin where we left off in Chapter 17, with Chihiro seemingly defeating Sojo and breaking Cloud Gouger. Sojo praises Chihiro and believes the Enchanted Blades sided with him. Chihiro tells Sojo the blades sided with Sojo, too. Shiba helps Chihiro and asks him if they should put Sojo out of his misery.

Chihiro tells Shiba not to kill Sojo. Char rushes over to Chihiro to heal his wounds. Meanwhile, Sojo desperately crawls to his lab and notices everything’s tarnished. However, Sojo believes he still has a trump card up his sleeve. We cut to Chihiro and Char. Char fails to heal Chihiro’s arm. Char apologizes and Chihiro cheers her up by telling her it’s thanks to her healing powers that he won this fight.

As Sojo attempts to grab the Datenseki, something goes awry, causing him and his castle to explode. During this time, we learn that Chihiro told Sojo that while Cloud Gouger chose Sojo, he’ll never stand toe-to-toe with his father in his eyes. 10 days later, we receive a panel of the several Kamunabi members discussing Sojo and their fallen and weakened Kamunabi members.

Additionally, we learn Sojo wasn’t the leader of the Rakuza Ichi Auction Event and that the exhibitor’s name changed after word went out about Sojo’s death. Moreover, the Kamunabi Elite discusses who should bear Cloud Gouger next. They mention Chihiro’s father implanted a Lifelong Contract in each weapon while forging them.

We learn Enchanted Blade owners are the only ones who can utilize their power until they perish. Additionally, the Kamunabi state they protected each blade wielder during the Imperial War. Having said that, they deemed Cloud Gouger as the only threat to their cause.  One of the Kamunabi Elite addresses a report they received from a fellow member.

They learn Chihiro murdered Sojo with an Enchanted Blade and are unsure if they can trust him. Moreover, they state they couldn’t find Cloud Gouger and believe Chihiro has it. Then, we receive a flashback involving a conversation between Azami and Kazane regarding Chihiro.

In the present, the Kamunabi Elite confront Azami because he hid Chihiro’s identity. More banter ensues, resulting in one of the higher-ups stopping everyone from conversing. This person says they should set their sights on finding Chihiro and retrieving Cloud Gouger and the seventh Enchanted Blade. The Elite plan to send one of their strongest members named Hiyuki after Chihiro. The chapter closes with a shot of Hiyuki.
