Does Immaculate have a Post-Credits Scene?

Sydney Sweeney stars in the new horror film Immaculate, a disturbing and chilling tale about Cecilia, an American nun who joins a remote convent in the Italian countryside.

Cecilia gets a warm welcome but not long into her stay, she slowly realizes that her new home harbours dark and terrifying secrets.

Critics have praised Immaculate for Sweeney’s fine performance and the haunting atmosphere conjured up by director Michael Mohan (The Voyeurs).

In our review of Immaculate, we called the movie “a twisted mix between Rosemary’s Baby and The Omen” and admired the “nice and steady build-up that leads to a terrifying final act.”

We think the movie is worth a watch, especially if you’re a fan of gothic horror. But should you stick around for a post-credits scene when this twisted tale comes to an end?

Is there a post-credits scene at the end of Immaculate?

Immaculate features a shocking ending, which we won’t spoil for you here. You can check out our Ending Explained article if you would like to know more.

After the horrifying last scene, you might be too shellshocked to leave your cinema seat, so impactful are the movie’s final moments.

If you do stay rooted to your seat, you will be disappointed if you were hoping for a post-credits scene. That’s because there isn’t one! As such, you’re free to go home when Immaculate has ended unless you need time to steady yourself after the movie’s dark events.

There might be an absence of a mid or post-credits scene, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be a sequel to Immaculate. Expect to hear more about a follow-up movie in the coming months once the studio (NEON)  makes a decision on the sequel’s financial potential.
