‘Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’ Release Date, Platforms & Game Length

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Final Fantasy fans rejoice! The second part of Square Enix’s remake of the original PS1 title is coming very soon, so get ready to step back into the shoes of Cloud Strife as he and his friends journey outside of Midgar to continue their quest to stop Shinra and Sephiroth.

Whether or not the game’s story will follow the PS1 title’s plotline, we don’t yet know for sure. If it does, you should probably get your handkerchief at the ready as the earlier game featured one emotionally devastating moment that upset players at the time of its release.

As this is the second of three games in the remake trilogy, this will likely end on a cliffhanger. The third game is in active development but we probably won’t hear more about that title for another year at least.

A demo for Final Fantasy VII is currently available on the PS5 so you can get an early taste of the game. But when is the full game releasing? And is it PS5 only? Keep reading to learn more.

What platforms is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth releasing on?

Final Fantasy VII is coming to the PS5 on 29 February 2024. The game will also be coming to PC at some point but for now, we don’t have a concrete release date or hardware specifications.

Is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth single-player or multiplayer?

Like its predecessor, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be single-player only

How long is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth?

Will Final Fantasy VII Rebirth have any DLC?

There are currently no plans for post-game DLC but if you pre-order the Standard Edition of FF VII Rebirth, you will get the Midgar Bangle Mk. II armour.
