Doctor Who: Season 14
The release date for Ncuti Gatwa’s first full season as the Time Lord has been announced.
Season 14 of Doctor Who will begin streaming at 7 pm EDT on Friday, May 10 on Disney+ in the US and other countries (excluding the UK) where Disney’s streaming service is available.
In the UK, the season will begin on Saturday, May 11 at midnight GMT on BBC iPlayer. The new episodes will then air on BBC1 later in the day.
Season 14 will launch with two episodes and will then revert to one episode in the weekly schedule.
The decision to debut the new season’s episodes outside of their usual primetime slot in the UK has angered many British fans of the show (source). The decision was likely made by the BBC to ensure UK viewers could enjoy the new episodes at the same time as those who will be watching the show on Disney+ across the pond.

- Indira Varma as the Duchess
- Alexander Devrient as Colonel Christopher Ibrahim
Plot Details
Not a lot is known about the new season yet but we do know one episode will be set in Regency England and another will be set in the Swinging Sixties.
Speaking about the upcoming season, showrunner Russell T. Davies had this to say:
“At last, it’s my great delight to unleash a whole new season of the Doctor and Ruby’s adventures together. “Monsters! Chases! Villains! Mysteries! And a terrifying secret that’s been spanning time and space for decades. Don’t miss a second!” (source).
