What is Cruel Summer Season 2 about?
The show follows a similar narration to its previous season and is split over three different timelines. Megan lives in a small town in Canada where everyone knows everything about the littlest of the things that happen in town. Isabella Laure, an exchange student, arrives to live with Megan and her family for her Senior Year of High School.
The show takes place in a time when there’s a lot of uncertainty around the start of a new millennium as the year 2000 rolls in. Megan and Isabella start growing close to each other as friends. However, things soon take a dark turn when Megan’s boyfriend (who is also Isabella’s ex) disappears and is later found to have been murdered. Megan or Isabella are the only two people who were last seen with him.
Where Can I Watch Cruel Summer Season 2?
While the first season of Cruel Summer is available on Prime Video the new season is not available on the international streaming platform. Season 2 of Cruel Summer is available to watch on Freeform Cable TV with a valid subscription.
The show is also available to watch on Hulu with a relevant subscription in limited regions. There is not much known about the international release of this season just yet but we will be sure to update this page when more information is made available.
Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 3 Release Date
Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 3 will release on Monday 12th June at 9 pm (ET) / 6 pm (ET). The show will release one episode every Monday until the season finale drops on July 31st. Each episode of the season will have a runtime of approximately 43 minutes.
How Many Episodes Will Cruel Summer Season 2 Have?
The upcoming season of Cruel Summer will have 10 episodes just like its previous season. After the release of two episodes on June 5th, the show will drop episodes on a weekly basis every Monday thereafter.

What happened in Episodes 1 and 2?
In the Summer of 1999, Isabella moves in with Megan, and the two clash a lot with Megan not being sure about Isabella’s intentions. After learning that Isabella was interested in Luke, Megan’s best friend, there seems to be a lot of tension between the two.
Meanwhile, in December of that year, Megan learns that she had received a full-ride scholarship to the University of Washington. Things take a turn for the worse when a sex tape is leaked of Isabella having sex with Luke. In the Summer of 2000, there is tension in town with Luke missing as the cops go looking for him.
