​​DIRECTOR & SCREENWRITER – Lee Byeong Heon

Director Lee Byeong Heon is leading the troupe of the highly anticipated kdrama – Chicken Nugget. He has a long list of good kdramas and films that he has worked on, not only as a director but also as a screenwriter while making small appearances as an actor as well. What’s more, he’s not only directing this popular Netflix show but is also involved as a scriptwriter!

Some of the notable kdramas and films that he has worked on are – Be melodramatic, Dream (2023), Extreme job (2019) which became the second highest grossing film in history in South Korea.

He has previously worked with actor Ahn Jae-hong in Be Melodramatic, and with actor Ryu Seung-ryong in the film Extreme Job (2019), and so we can anticipated another successful and hilarious collaboration from the trio! 


MAIN CAST

Ryu Seung-ryong as Choi Seon Man

Popular actor Ryu Seung-ryong is back with his yet another chicken related endeavour as he assumes the role of Choi Seon-man, president of a machine company ‘All Machines’ and father of Choi Min-ah, who accidently transforms into a chicken nugget. Ryu Seong-ryong, also, has multiple hits to his name like the kdramas Moving and Kingdom, along with the film Extreme Job to name a few. As always, we anticipate Chicken Nugget to be another one of his hits! 


Ahn Jae-hong as Baek-joong

One of the finest and quite underrated actors in the comedy genre, Ahn Jae-hong is assuming the role of Baek-joong, an intern at Choi Seon-man’s company who is also romantically interested in his daughter, Choi Min-ah. He vows to help him turn Min-ah back into a human from a chicken nugget. 

Ahn Jae-hong has been previously seen in Netflix’s Mask Girl and in the latest kdrama LTNS. He has also starred in popular shows like Reply 1988, The Legend of the Blue Sea, Fight for My Way and Be Melodramatic.

Kim Yoo-jung as Choi Min-ah

Popular actress Kim Yoo-jung is assuming the guest role of Choi Min-ah, daughter of the ‘All Machines’ president Choi Seon-man who accidently turns into a chicken nugget upon entering a mysterious machine originally thought to relieve fatigue.

Kim Yoo-jung is a sought after actress and has appeared in a number of kdramas such as My Demon, Lovers of the Red Sky, Backstreet Rookie and films like 20th Century Girl


Jung Ho-yeon as Hong Cha

Actress Jung Ho-yeon, a fashion model, rose to fame with her portrayal of the North Korean defector Kang Sae-byeok in Netflix’s Squid Game which lead to her being named as the “Squid Game’s breakout star” by many critics. She is coming back in Chicken Nugget as Hong Cha, Korea’s best taste columnist.
