Branding in Seongsu – Season 1 Episode 6 Recap & Review

Episode 6

Branding in Seongsu Episode 6 picks up where the previous episode left off. During her visit to the factory in Eun-ho’s body, Na-eon comes across the worker. She notices the mark she left on her attacker. However, for the time being, she doesn’t voice her suspicions.

The next morning, Na-eon works with the underdog team to come with a presentation as Yu-mi is about to review it. She then requests that they brainstorm ways to rebrand the shoe factory. On the other hand, Yu-mi is makes an effort to apply the framing approach that Na-eon taught her.

As the day comes to a close, Yu-mi and her new celebrity client are spotted partying. Now she tries to be just like Na-eon, acting confidently and even speaking in a similar manner. Unhappy with Yu-mi’s efforts, the acclaimed client eventually catches on and tosses a drink at her. As a consequence, Jung-woo offers to take her home.

On the other hand, Na-eon is trying to figure out who tried to kill her. She checks out Mr. Nam and Eun-ho’s workplace, but comes up empty-handed. When she tries to get into Yu-mi’s workspace, she finds it locked. Following this, she pays a visit to see her own comatose body in the hospital. When she learns that the company is no longer paying for her comatose body, she admits it to the VIP room herself.

The next day, during the presentation, Na-eon—now inhabiting Eun-ho’s body—works with the underdog squad. She steals the show at this point and fails to appear like Eun-ho. As a consequence, Yu-mi teases her while the rest of the group laughs.

Following this, Na-eon heads to the underground workspace. Here, she ends up insulting her team after they push her buttons. The episode ends with Na-eon visiting the VIP room to see her comatose body. She believes that to exchange her soul for her body, she must kiss her. Suddenly, Jung-woo bursts in on her as she’s ready to kiss her body, and the episode ends.

The Episode Review

In episode 6, Na-eon finds the struggling marks she left while dying in the factory. Attempting to take Na-eon’s place at the agency, Yu-mi mimics her every move. Na-eon visits her comatose body in the VIP room.

This episode’s plot is just as intriguing as the ones that came before it. Nevertheless, the plot is disjointed, the characters are flat, the supernatural aspect is ill-fitting with the plot, and the agency subplot fails to make any real impact.

The show seems to have potential, so we really hope things pick up for it. However, at this point, the show is mediocre at best.
