The Boston Strangler (Albert Henry DeSalvo), murdered 13 women aged between 19 and 85 in the Boston area of Massachusetts during the early 1960s.

The serial killer’s crimes have been depicted on film before, most notably in 1968, with Tony Curtis cast as the murderer.

In the upcoming movie, Keira Knightley and Carrie Coon star as real-life journalists Loretta McLaughlin and Jean Cole who put their lives on the line while investigating the Boston murders. David Dastmalchian, who you may remember as the Polka-Dot Man from The Suicide Squad, stars as the elusive killer who sexually violated his victims before strangling them with a stocking.

When will Boston Strangler be released?

Boston Strangler premieres on Hulu in the US and Disney+ in the UK on March 17th 2023.

Matt Ruskin directs Boston Strangler. His previous movie credits include Crown Heights, which starred LaKeith Stanfield as the real-life Colin Warner who was wrongfully convicted of murder, and The Boy, a disturbing movie about a 9-year-old sociopath’s fascination with death.
