Season 3 of Blue Exorcist will be based on volumes 10-15 of the original manga, known as the Shimane Illuminati arc.
The arc is famous among Blue Exorcist fans for plenty of twists and turns, including a big revelation that at least one of the True Cross students could be a mole for the titular sinister organisation.
We’ll also see a good amount of Rin and Yukio’s relationship develop too, but given we know this anime has taken liberties with the source material, we’ll have to wait and see regarding how strictly this one follows the manga.

Blue Exorcist episode 3 will release on Sunday 10th March in Japan at approximately 12:30am (JST). Of course, this means that for most of the world, this one will debut on Saturday 9th March at approximately 3.30pm (GMT) / 10.30am (PT).
Blue Exorcist’s episodes will drop in the native Japanese language with subtitles. Dubbing may well arrive later on down the line, but will largely be dependent on how popular this anime will be.
