Black Cake Season 1 Episode 6 Release Date
Black Cake Season 1 Episode 6 will be released on Wednesday, November 22, 8/7c. Expect the runtime to be roughly 53 minutes, since the show is a drama. The first three episodes were almost an hour long but there is no guarantee of the runtime going forward.
After the tripleheader with the first three episodes, the show has changed trajectory to a weekly release schedule. The new episodes of Black Cake will be available to stream on Hulu and Disney+ with subtitles.
We have an update here for our readers. While the episodes will be available to watch on Hulu on the 20th, non-US viewers will only be able to watch the new episodes with a two-day lag. Hence, Disney+ will host Episode 5 on 22nd November.
The plot summary for Episode 6, titled “Ma,” reads: “Benny and Byron are shocked when a stranger shows up unannounced to listen to Eleanor’s final recording.” It is not enough to gauge too much, giving us even more incentive to tune in on time!

What happened in Episode 5?
In Black Cake’s Episode 5, Mabel, a successful cookbook author, faces criticism for cultural appropriation, causing a career setback and personal distress. A potential TV show offer brings hope until a shocking discovery: she’s adopted, a secret unbeknownst to her and Eleanor until she saw a cooking video online after learning she had cancer.
Meanwhile, Benny and Byron, hurt by Eleanor’s secrets, struggle with feelings of betrayal. Mabel confronts her adoptive parents, leading to a rift and her desire for independence. Benny ends her toxic relationship, seeking to break things off with Steve.
When Byron intervenes, a heated fight ensues, leaving Steve overpowered and drawing attention from onlookers and the police. The episode ends in chaos and approaching sirens, leaving relationships strained and characters grappling with painful revelations.
