The Legend of the Three Keys

Episode 4 of Bandidos kicks off with everyone being arrested and interrogated by Detective Ines. As for Miguel, his stitches open up, and he is rushed to the hospital. Ines questions everyone about what they were doing at the retirement home and about their life of crime. If you didn’t know, Ines isn’t just a detective; she also happens to be one of Octavio’s exes. 

Once Miguel wakes up, he is questioned by Ines and reveals that Luis was murdered because of a treasure map tattooed on his waist. Ines doesn’t buy any of it and throws Miguel into jail once his wound is stitched close. After doing some digging she learns that the Spaniard was the descendant of Franciso de Montejo, and there actually may be some weight to Miguel’s story. 

As the episode progresses, Ariel bails the group out of jail and asks Miguel why he broke into his museum, but the latter doesn’t reveal anything. However, Ariel asks Lily to contact him if she ever needs his help. The scarred man contacts Miguel and threatens him to find and return all three moonstones, or he’ll kill Juan Morales, Miguel’s father.

The group goes to Wilson’s office to discuss and plan how to find the rest of the stones, including the one Miguel lost. Since the scarred man has sent his spies after them, they decide to split and eventually manage to trick them.

Miguel returns to his father’s room and finds his journal hidden in the globe. Meanwhile, Lily meets Ariel and finds something strange on the map; he shows her. Miguel calls the scarred man, demanding to talk to his father,  who says that the other two stones are kept inside some sort of box, which the conquerors might have taken to their graves.

However, before Miguel can do anything, he is stopped by Ines, who, too, asks for a fair percentage of the treasure.  If you don’t know, Ines plans to bribe the judge with that money so she can win her son’s custody battle. She also returns the moonstone she has taken from Miguel. As the episode nears its end, it is revealed that Ariel has been in cahoots with the scarred man all along. 

The Episode Review

In episode 4, Detective Ines learns about the treasure map of the greatest treasure in the world. We also learn that she is facing a myriad of problems on her own.

Her husband has bribed the judge, who has ruled in his favor and has awarded him the custody of Ines’ child. And since Ines doesn’t have enough, it is possible that she will demand a hefty percentage of the treasure in exchange for turning a blind eye.

With new alliances, betrayals, and the race intensifying, the show is raising the stakes with each episode.
