Fans of James Cameron’s Avatar movies will want to check out this upcoming adventure title that is set in the never-before-seen Western Frontier of Pandora.

The game, which is being published by Ubisoft and developed by Massive Entertainment, will put you in control of a Na’Vi who must journey through beautiful, yet unpredictable alien regions, in search of his lost heritage. You don’t only have to travel on foot as the game allows you to take control of various creatures, including a banshee that can take you soaring into the skies.

Expect a mix of aerial and on-the-ground combat, options to customize your character to suit your playstyle, and the ability to craft new gear.

Will Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora have any DLC?

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will have free DLC at launch but there’s a catch! The added bundle, which includes cosmetic items inspired by the Aranahe, a group of peaceful weavers from the Kinglor Forest, will only be free on the PS5 and can be accessed by logging into the game. Xbox and PC players will have to pay for this extra content.

Further DLC will be available to those who purchase a Season Pass or who buy the Gold Edition of the game which will come bundled with the Season Pass. The pass will give you access to two story packs that are planned for release at some point down the line. 

Should you purchase the Ultimate Edition bundle, you will get the Season Pass, a digital artbook, and the Sarentu Heritage cosmetic pack, which includes a beautifully coloured mount, character, and weapon skin.

How long is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora?

With this being an open-world game from Ubisoft, we expect upwards of 30-40 hours of gameplay with extra playtime for those looking to achieve 100% completion.
