If you’re into romance, drama, and roses, then sure shot you’ve at some point tuned into The Bachelor. This popular reality TV show debuted in 2002 and followed a single man as he dates a group of women so he can find true love or, should we say, The One.

The show has become a huge hit and has spawned many spin-offs and versions worldwide. If you’ve streamed all seasons of it and know every single Bacherlor’s name by heart, it’s time to move on. With that in mind, here are ten shows that’ll steal your heart, just like The Bachelors did.

Temptation Island (2001)

Similarities: relationship challenges, temptation, betrayal, breakups

How strong is your relationship? This is the question a group of couples answer on Temptation Island, which is a reality show that challenges their loyalty and love. In this show, you’re to go to a tropical paradise, where they’re snatched away from their current love, only to be met with gorgeous singles who try to steal you away. Now, you must decide whether you have to keep it in your pants or succumb to temptation, but remember, it’s not without fallouts and consequences.

The Bachelorette (2003)

Similarities: a spin-off of The Bachelor, roses

Twenty-five men, one woman, and lots of roses, and roses. That’s the three important ingredients for Bachelorette. This is not an ordinary dating show, but something that gives it a new definition. In this show, a bachelorette who is also an erstwhile candidate from The Bachelor gets another shot at love. She goes on dates with these 25 single men while they try to vie for her love – and rose. Not just that, she also has to let some of them each week until she finds the one.

The Proposal (2018)

Similarities: speed dating, mystery element, marriage proposal

Can you picture exchanging rings with someone you’ve never seen before? The next pick on our list is built around this concept. In every episode, a suitor or suitress is hidden from view while ten people of the opposite gender compete to win their hearts. They must woo that person with their looks, personality, and talent. They do all of this while the sword of elimination hangs over their head. Fun fact: the show is created by the same producer as The Bachelor.

Bachelor in Paradise (2014)

Similarities: spin-off of The Bachelor, tropical setting, eliminations

The next suggestion on our list is a show where love is a beach, and the singles are ready to mingle. This reality show brings fan favorites from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette so they can find romance one more time. You’re dropped on an island and have to date and compete for roses.

If sparks fly, then you’ll stay, and if not, you’ll be kicked out of the show. With new arrivals each week, the drama heats, making it a good reality tv show.

Burning Love (2012)

In Burning Love, some are looking for love, whereas there are some who just want a good laugh. This comedy series spoofs reality dating shows like The Bachelor. Each season has a different bachelor or bachelorette who are both funny, mysterious, and eccentric.

Like all of the above, they go on dates, hand out roses, and are kicked out if they are not able to earn good marks. Created and written by Erica Oyama, this series will have you laughing at how love works.

Are You The One? (2014)

Similarities: ensemble cast, compatibility tests, cash prize, drama

Will you believe if you’re told that you can find your perfect match with the help of science? In Are You The One, you can! In this reality show, ten men and ten women are matched by experts using a detailed algorithm. The only catch is that they don’t know who their ideal partner is. They need to live together, date, and use clues to figure it out.

If they find all ten perfect matches in 10 weeks, they win a million dollars, but they’ll lose it all if they fail.

Ready for Love (2018)

Similarities: dating experts, compatibility tests, drama

This involves a similar premise to the Are You The One, which helps people find love with codes and algorithms. In this one, we will see three gorgeous and accomplished bachelors using science and experts to find their perfect match. They’ll have to pick from 36 women chosen by matchmakers using a strict algorithm. They also face the pressure of cameras, competition, and hosts Giuliana and Bill Rancic. This show hails from the mind of Eva Longoria and will have you ask yourself if you’re ready for love or not!

Indian Matchmaker (2020)

 Similarities: matchmaking, culture, romance, family

Sima Taparia of The Indian Matchmaker is not an ordinary matchmaker; and people also call her a marriage guru. Sima uses her skills, experience, and connections to pair her wealthy clients in India and abroad with whom she claims the love of their lives. This isn’t always a walk in the park as people often throw their unrealistic expectations about how their partner should be, should look like, should dress, and many other things like that.

Thanks to producer Smriti Mundhra, you can now see how marriages are arranged in an Indian household.

Married at First Sight (2014)

 Similarities: marriages, experts, challenges, decisions

Marriage is a big step, but what can you do in a case where you can’t choose your partner? That is the kind of experiment we see in Married at First Sight. The show brings in some singles who say yes to marrying a stranger they meet at the altar. These couples are matched by experts using, you’ve guessed it, a special algorithm, and then they must live together as a married couple for eight weeks.

At the end of these eight weeks, they’ll have to ask themselves the big question: should they stay married or get a divorce?

90 Day Fiancé (2014)

 Similarities: marriages, decisions

Love knows no bounds, but visas sure do. This is the challenge for couples who must get married to their online girlfriend under 90 days. Like all the others, they live together as a married couple for 90 days. This is not a child’s play as they also have to deal with countries, cultures, backgrounds, and the most dangerous, immigration department.

Will they make it down the aisle, will their marriages last, and will they find happiness? Find out in 90 Days Fiance. Fun fact: This is the same show that gave us the most famous, NO NECK NED!!
