Parasite (2019)

There are some families who have money, while there are some who cannot even make ends meet. Anyone would want to swap places with the rich ones. This is exactly what the Kim family did.

This clever family of scammers install themselves into the lives of a rich Korean couple who have their house filled with everything from expensive beef steaks to wine. They pretend to be tutors, drivers, and house help so they, too, can enjoy the same luxuries as their owners. Bong Joon Ho’s Parasite is a brilliant watch.

Cruel Intentions (1999

Their latest game involves corrupting two innocent people, Cecile and Annette.

Sadly what starts as a pastime soon becomes a dangerous fixation. This is one of the rare films that shows how love can be a dangerous weapon if used for such means.

The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017)

She makes friends with a rich woman named Emily, but as Stephanie spends time looking after her, she finds out that Emily is more than she lets out. This is the same film that made Blake Lively into a suit-and-tie wearer and Anna Kendrick into a darker character.

The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)

Tom Ripley is an ordinary man like yourself who wants to live the high life. When he’s hired to bring back a wealthy playboy from Italy, he sees it as his chance. However, Sook-hee and Hideko fall for each other, which also jeopardizes the plan. If you love films that don’t hold back on twists and turns, The Handmaiden is a film that you’ll fall in love with.

The film begins with Ivy insinuating herself into the lives of a wealthy family. She wins the trust of their lonely daughter Sylvie and seduces her father, Darryl.

It is clear that she has a dark agenda and will stop at nothing to get what she wants, even if it means destroying a family. If you like both suspense and steam, what’s stopping you from watching Poison Ivy?

The Perfection (2018)

To play the cello well, one must have perfect time, skill, and pitch. But what if there is a cost to achieving flawlessness? That’s what two accomplished cellists, Lizzie and Charlotte, learn at a renowned music institution managed by a cruel teacher. At first, it’s just mutual respect and competition, but gradually, it becomes a sick game of resentment and abuse.

It was in this picture when Steven Weber transformed into a creepy villain, and Allison Williams and Logan Browning played cello-like experts. If you want to know how terrifying and beautiful music can be, here is the movie for you.
