XXX-Mas Plot Summary
XXX-Mas is the new indie film making the rounds this holiday season that has a very angry Santa Claus out to butcher up some adult film stars. Yeah, you read that right.
James Dean’s directorial efforts about an adult film crew working during the holidays that meet their maker makes for a fun ride and it seems to be setting itself up for a franchise of sorts by the time the credits roll.
When does XXX-Mas take place?
It’s hard to pinpoint if it is Christmas Eve or just the plain old holiday season. But the film does touch on the idea of sex workers struggling during the holidays. So when they get a call from an eccentric adult film director, and the money seems good, it’s time to go have sex and make money.
Who is the killer in the movie?
None other than good ol’ Saint Nic. But in this cinematic universe, Santa isn’t some jolly old fella who wants to spread cheer and pass out presents for kids. He’s mad as a hell and if you want to have sex around him, he is going to make sure you regret it.
The trademarks of Santa are prevalent; he eats any cookie in sight, must have been a fun diet to have on the shoot for Drew Marvick who plays the jolly old murderer!
Why is Santa killing off the cast and crew?
It’s hard to really point to why and how he makes his way to this film set. But there is some backstory motivation that adds to the drama of the film.
Mrs. Claus seems to have been bit promiscuous while Santa was out spreading holiday cheer. Thus this triggers Santa to kill whenever sex is in the air. So the set of an adult film is not a safe space for him it seems.
Who survives the massacre?
After a massacre of close to twenty people, only three make it out alive. The character Black Mamba played by Jonathan May, Morrigan Thompson who plays actress Kristy Kreme, and the character Julie Treats who is played by Dolly Leigh survive but are left with a surprise ending at the tail end of the movie.
Mamba gets a gift given to him by a stranger on his door step. He opens it, and sees that it is a bloodied Christmas cookie with a bite taken out of it. Signifying that Santa is still alive, and knows they are too.
