The Winter King is a British historical fiction series adapted from The Warlord Chronicles novels written by Bernard Cornwell.
The show reimagines the story of a tumultuous time in Post-Roman Dark Age Britain when Arthur had been banished, Merlin was MIA, and the Saxons were invading the kingdom. This is when we meet Lancelot, the ever-ambitious Guinevere.
We are also introduced to Mordred, grandson of Uther and legitimate heir to the throne. The story is narrated by an elderly Saxon-born monk long after King Arthur passes away.

Where Can I Watch The Winter King Season 1?
The Winter King is available to watch on MGM Plus in the US. The show will be available later on ITV1 & ITVX for UK viewers. Unfortunately, we don’t know the exact date yet, but it seems this will be closer to around November/December. For those in Australia, the show will be available on Stan.
The Winter King Season 1 Episode 6 Release Date
The Winter King episode 6 will drop on Sunday 8th October, at approximately 9pm (ET) / 12am (PT).
The episode is expected to be roughly 58 minutes long, which is consistent with the time frame for the rest of the series.
