The Winter King Season 1 Episode 1 Preview: Release Date, Time & Where To Watch

The Winter King Season 1 Episode 1

The Winter King is a British historical fiction series adapted from The Warlord Chronicles novels written by Bernard Cornwell.

The show reimagines the story of a tumultuous time in Post-Roman Dark Age Britain when Arthur had been banished, Merlin was MIA and the Saxons were invading the kingdom. This is when we meet Lancelot, the ever-ambitious Guinevere.

We are also introduced to Mordred, grandson of Uther and legitimate heir to the throne. The story is narrated by an elderly Saxon-born monk long after King Arthur passes away.

  1. So terribly disappointing! MGM plus has taken Bernard Cornwall‘s brilliant version of Arthurian legend and turned it into a pretty pretty pretty dumb show. I watched the opening episode, and will probably not watch anymore. It certainly is not worth subscribing to MGM plus to get this watered-down, prettified, wooden, take on Cornwallis three novels. In this TV series, Merlin comes off as a model for an L.L. Bean catalog, and not the rasty madman of the Winter King novels. Boo! Hiss!

  2. What a piece of garbage where the hell did that time period did all those blacks come from, did the Black Merlin magically transport himself from Africa into Arthurian Britain. I am not a racist, there are so many really good black actors in appropriate time frames and periods, but the WOKE agenda of inclusiveness into every series and movie regardless of timeframe, historic period and location is creating racial and gay hatred and anger and disgust towards all studios bastardizing every movie and TV series. I like this series but I guess I won’t
be able to see more than Ep.1 because of all the negative reviews it won’t be picked up by other streaming services, besides I will not be robbed by MGM+ paying them to see this. What next Africans, Orientals and gays placed in proper historic era films about Mayans,Aztec and Eskimos, etc. I no longer go to the theatres hardly ever watch new TV series, I enjoy watching old movies and old TV series, specially since they are also fully Family oriented.
