Episode 6
Episode 6 of Who Is She begins with a poetry class for the neighborhood elders. The theme is love, and as we hear Mr. Park’s poem, a flashback reveals that he and Mal-soon knew each other as children. Park had feelings for Mal-soon, but those feelings were crushed when he returned from the military and discovered that she was already expecting a child.
In the present, Mr. Park overhears Daniel and Du-ri’s conversation, including the fact that she’s been fired. Now, Du-ri becomes worried about Ha-na, as she had negotiated for Ha-na to be part of her contract. Elsewhere, one of the trainers acknowledges Ha-na’s talent for song arrangements but decides that her dancing skills—where she’s lacking—will determine her evaluation.
Meanwhile, Du-ri continues to practice at home, slipping into her characteristic Mal-soon persona as she checks on her daughter and son-in-law. Later, Ha-na visits Du-ri to check on her, and the two, along with Mr. Park, stumble upon a seniors’ singing competition in the neighborhood. At the event, Du-ri and Ha-na deliver a phenomenal impromptu performance, with Du-ri singing a rendition of The Man in the Yellow Shirt accompanied by Ha-na’s latest arrangement.
Following this, Ha-na clears up the misunderstanding about Du-ri’s relationship with Mr. Park, and Daniel feels regret over his hasty decision. He visits Du-ri to apologize and decides to stay at Mr. Park’s guesthouse.
Elsewhere, Ha-na makes a sincere attempt to connect with the other team members, but her efforts fall on deaf ears. Soon after, Du-ri returns to practice with the team, while Daniel begins to feel more at peace with his new living arrangement.
On evaluation day for the debut team, Du-ri once again stumbles through her performance in front of Ae-sim, while Ha-na’s performance is only mediocre. Meanwhile, Mr. Park encounters Mal-soon’s twin, Kkeut-soon (Emily), at the company office. However, Du-ri quickly intervenes, asking him to leave before they become the subject of further rumors.
Initially, the instructors consider cutting Du-ri and Ha-na from the team due to their lackluster skills, but just then, they come across the viral video of their impromptu performance together.
Meanwhile, Emily returns home pretending to be Mal-soon, and Mr. Park seemingly gets into an accident after realizing how he’s drifting further away from Mal-soon. A few days later, Du-ri meets him again—but this time, he’s a young man!
