What did Spencer Herron do?

On the surface, Spencer Herron was the perfect husband and even won an award for ‘Teacher of the Year‘ at Kell High School in Cobb County, Georgia, where he worked. But all was not as it appeared, and Herron would go from hero to zero overnight.

Herron was a liar and master manipulator, but worst of all, he was a sexual abuser of his students. This abuse of 1 particular student known as Rachel opened a can of worms to his other behaviour, when his wife uncovered at least 60 extramarital affairs.

His wife was a TV producer called Jenifer Faison, and they had been married for 7 years. They had dated in college, but they went their separate ways, and Herron went on to marry someone else. However, he divorced and the college sweethearts reconnected.

What happened when Herron was arrested?

On June 1st, 2018, Herron was arrested for having sexual relations with a student. He was charged with 6 counts of sexual assault against students. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

Herron was incarcerated at the Wilcox State Prison for the duration of his sentence.
