What did Jeffrey Epstein do?
Jeffrey Epstein was an American sex offender. He was a financier who developed an elite social circle, paving the way for him to gain access to many women and children whom he and his associates sexually abused.
In 2005, police in Florida began investigating Epstein after a parent reported he abused her 14 year old daughter. This led officials to identify as many as 36 girls whom Epstein had allegedly sexually abused. He pleaded guilty and was convicted in 2008. However, he made a plea deal which saw him only convicted of 2 of the charges. He served almost 13 months in custody but was allowed extensive release for work.
What happened the next time Epstein was arrested?
Epstein was arrested again on the 6th July 2019, for sex trafficking of minors in Florida and New York. A dozen FBI agents forced open the door to his Manhattan townhouse, brandishing search warrants. The search of his townhouse found evidence of sex trafficking and also found thousands of sexually suggestive photographs of fully nude underage females.
On July 8th, prosecutors charged him with sex trafficking and conspiracy to traffic minors for sex. The grand jury indictment alleges that “dozens” of underage girls were brought into Epstein’s mansions for sexual encounters.
Epstein requested to be released on bond, offering to post $100 million with the condition that he would also submit to house arrest in his New York City mansion. The request was denied stating Epstein posed a danger to the public and a serious flight risk to avoid prosecution.
Where is Jeffrey Epstein now?
Jeffrey Epstein died in his jail cell on the 10th August 2019. His death was ruled a suicide by hanging, but this was disputed by Epstein’s lawyers and opened their own investigation. This lead to many conspiracy theories about his death. with the suggestion he was murdered. On the night of Epstein’s death, 2 cameras in front of his cell conveniently malfunctioned, so nobody really knows what happened in Epstein’s final moments.
It’s not hard to believe that he was murdered as he claimed to have compromising information about some very powerful figures. His association with Prince Andrew is well documented, but there are others who he trafficked underage girls for. Epstein was known to have a ‘‘naughty list” of people who he had dealings with, and this list is apparently due to be released in the near future.
Epstein had a decades long association with British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, and she was convicted in 2021 on charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy for helping him procure girls for child sexual abuse and prostitution.
