What did Craig N. Ross Jr. do?

Craig N. Ross Jr. abducted 9-year-old Charlotte Sena while she was doing cycling laps on a camping trip with her family in Moreau State Park, New York, on the 30th of September 2023.

Police were able to track Charlotte down after a ransom note had been dropped off at the Sena family’s house and it had Ross Jr.’s fingerprints on it. Luckily, Ross was already on the database from a 1999 DUI charge. They located Ross Jr.’s camper van which was located behind his mother’s house and SWAT teams descended upon the location.

Ross Jr was arrested despite some resistance and Charlotte was found hidden in a cabinet, with reports saying she was physically unharmed and was returned to her family

An emergency hearing took place and Ross was indicted on a single charge of first-degree kidnapping.

Where is Craig N. Ross Jr. now?

Ross Jr. is being investigated for any potential links to the unsolved murders of 2 young women who vanished from the same area 20 years ago.

Police believe Ross Jr. could be connected to the abduction and murders of 18-year-old Jennifer Hammond and 19-year-old Christina White. The authorities believe the Hammond and White cases are likely linked. Hammond went missing in 2003 while White disappeared in 2005. 

Ross Jr is being held without bail at the Saratoga County Correctional Facility awaiting trial. He is 46 years old.
