What did Chad Daybell do?
Chad Daybell was the partner of Lori Vallow Daybell when her two children went missing in Chandler, Arizona in September 2019.
They were later found buried in shallow graves on Chad’s property in Rexburg, Idaho in June 2020, and Chad has been suspected of being involved in the murders. He has also been linked to being involved in his former wife’s murder.
Who was Chad Daybell before the murders?
Chad Guy Daybell was married to Tamara “Tammy” Douglas and worked for a time as a copy editor for a daily newspaper. During his studies, he worked as a gravedigger.
He was a religious man who wrote fiction about the subject. An Errand for Emma was published in 1999. Chad left his job at the cemetery to focus on his writing and in 2001, he published One Foot in the Grave, a non-fiction book about his experiences working in cemeteries.
Chad published dozens of fiction and non-fiction books, aimed at a Latter Day Saint audience.
The Murder of Tammy Daybell
An autopsy was carried out Tammy Daybell. Her cause of death was determined to be asphyxiation and not a heart attack, as previously thought.
The autopsy was produced in the opening arguments of Lori Vallow Daybell’s trial for her murder.
Tammy was married to Chad Daybell for 28 years before she reportedly died in her sleep.
Where is Chad Daybell now?
Chad Daybell is currently awaiting his trial for the triple murders of Lori Vallow’s two children and his former wife, Tammy. His trial is set to commence on the 1st April 2024. He is 55 years old now.
