We Were The Lucky Ones is a historical drama which maps a family’s quest to survive when hate goes unchecked in the years immediately prior to World War II. The show is adapted from Georgia Hunter’s New York Times bestselling book sporting the same name which is inspired by real life events of her family.
The story follows the heart-wrenching and inspiring journey of the Kurcs, Polish Jews, whose peaceful lives of joy and abundance is turned upside-down with Hitler’s anti-Jew campaigns. What follows are concentration camps, frantic escapades and series of generational trauma as the family try to find each other after the war ends – because they were, indeed, the lucky ones.
We Were the Lucky Ones Episodes 1-3 Release Date
The entire schedule for We Were The Lucky Ones so far is as follows:
- Episode 1 – March 28th 2024
- Episode 2 – March 28th 2024
- Episode 3 – March 28th 2024
Episodes 1-3 will be released all at once on Thursday 28th March at 4pm (GMT) / 12am (ET). This is a weekly show, with 1 episode releasing each week on Thursday after these first three episodes.
The episode length hasn’t been revealed yet but we’d wager it’ll probably be around 50 minutes long. We will update this as we get more information.
Where Can I Watch We Were the Lucky Ones?
We Were The Lucky Ones is making it’s grand debut on Hulu for global audiences. That means it will also be available to watch on Disney+ for certain regions – but only in April.
How Many Episodes Will We Were the Lucky Ones?
We Were The Lucky Ones Season 1 is expected to have 8 episodes in total. With that in mind, there are 5 episodes remaining after episode 3 releases. As long as the schedule doesn’t change, it should look something like this:
- Episode 4 – April 4th
- Episode 5 – April 11th
- Episode 6 – April 18th
- Episode 7 – April 25th
- Episode 8 – May 2nd
