DIRECTOR – Choi Jeong-Yeol

This is actually Choi Jeong-Yeol’s first project as a Director, having previously worked on 2019’s movie, Start-Up and 2016’s One Way Trip.


WRITER – CRG, Kim Kyu-Sam (webcomic)

Given this Disney+ series is based on a webcomic, the adaptation is based strictly on both CRG and Kim Kyu-sam’s writing in the comic series.


MAIN CAST

Nam Joo-Hyuk as Kim Ji-Yong

Kim Ji Yong watched his mom get beaten to death when he was a kid. Unfortunately, the killer only got a light sentence of three and a half years in prison. 

Years later, Ji Yong comes across the culprit, who has not changed. He decides to take matters into his own hands and starts being a vigilante. During the weekdays, he is an exemplary student at the Police university. On the weekends, he punishes the criminals who received light sentences and maintained their criminal lives. 

Nam Joo-hyuk has had a really good career thus far, having starred in some of the biggest K-dramas in each respective year. He starred in Twenty Five Twenty One, Weightlifting Fairy, Cheese in the Trap and also Start-Up too.


Yoo Ji-Tae as Jo Heon

Jo Heon is the team leader of a police investigation team, chasing after the man called Vigilante.Little does he know, this is actually Ji-yong’s alias! 

His character is played by Ji-tae, who has been involved in Money Heist: Korea, When My Love Blooms and 2018’s Jugglers, not to mention a smattering of different films too.


Lee Joon-Hyuk as Jo Gang-Ok

Contrasting Jo Heon is Gang-ok, who works alongside “Vigilante” in gaining his revenge, motivated by his admiration for our protagonist.

Joon-hyuk has starred in a few different dramas, including Our Beloved Summer, Stranger 2, 365: Repeat The Year and Designated Survivor: 60 Days.


Kim So-Jin as Choi Mi-Ryeo

Mi-ryeon is a reporter of a broadcasting station, covering the events of Vigilante as they happen. She’s charismatic and works well to flesh out the main ensemble.

She’s played by Kim So-jin, who has only been in a few dramas previous to this. However, she has made a name for herself doing movies, with her most recent roles including Emergency Declaration and Escape from Mogadishu.


Kim Hak-Sun as Captain Eun

Captain Eun is the captain over at the police station and many fans will recognize him from a plethora of other shows. He’s had roles in all sorts of different dramas, including Song of the Bandits, The Game: Towards Zero and Stranger 2.
